Prosecutors will request legalization of Abraham Rico Pineda’s arrest

The First Superior Prosecutor’s Office for Drugs will request the legalization of the arrest, indictment and precautionary measures for Abraham Rico Pineda who was arrested this Tuesday outside the Accusatory Penal System in Plaza Ágora. Pineda was one of the most wanted in connection with Operation Jericho carried out last week.

In response to the arguments of the Drug Prosecutor’s Office, the judge of guarantees declared that there was no infringement of Mr. Pineda’s rights.

Operation Jericho, for money laundering, arrested more than 30 people and a hearing will be held for the precautionary measures of 26 people where the Drug Prosecutor’s Office requests provisional detention, it should be noted that several of the accused have already accepted sentences with penalty agreements.
