The Prosecutor’s Office ordered the opening of an investigation against the mayor of Puerto Casado (Alto Paraguay) Hilario Adorno. This after complaints from councilors for alleged diversion of funds, issuance of checks with no funds and lack of payments to suppliers.
The community chief is the brother of the questioned governor José Domingo Adorno, also from the ANR.
On December 2, the Municipal Board approved the intervention of the municipality, it should be remembered that Adorno has only been in office for a year. A total of 8 councilors out of 12 approved the intervention request.
