Prosecutor's Office opens sixth investigation of President Pedro Castillo

The Public Ministry opened a new investigation to the president for the alleged crime against public tranquility, in the form of criminal organization. With this, there are already six inquiries against the president. Also included is the former head of Housing and current Minister of Transport, .

In five of the investigations he is charged with the crime of criminal organization. In the only one that is exempt from this crime is in the thesis plagiarism, which is in charge of the Cajamarca Prosecutor’s Office.

ANÍBAL TORRES KEEPS GEINER ALVARADO

Yesterday, the head of the Ministerial Cabinet, ruled on the head of Transportation and Communications, Geiner Alvarado, and stated that if there is any evidence against him for alleged criminal organization, he himself will request President Pedro Castillo to remove him.

At a press conference from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), he indicated that if this scenario occurs, it will have to be for a “justified reason” and not because the press asks for it.

“There is no proof that Minister Geiner Alvarado has committed something irregular, but if there is any proof, I am immediately going to ask the President of the Republic to proceed with his removal, as long as there is a justified reason, not because the press ask, no”he expressed.
