Mayor Luján proposes to implement a new model of early care, a redistribution of files and the creation of a specialized group for the monitoring of priority issues, coordinated by its closest team.
“There will be a unit that will carry the most delicate cases. There will be a table that carries alternate solutions, ”he said.
This week, during its appearance before capital deputies, the prosecutor explained that the institution currently has 8,287 officials with a substantive charge, made up of 3,617 agents of the Public Ministry, 3,510 investigation police and 1,160 experts.
However, the workload between the units is unequal, which affects efficiency in research processes.
Given this panorama, the Prosecutor’s Office has set as a goal by 2025 to carry out a comprehensive analysis of productivity and efficiency to design a reorganization strategy.
“The idea is to start with specialized prosecutors where there are fewer cases and, little by little, apply this model to other prosecutors and implement a model of attention to an institutional lag,” he explained.
Once the operational inequalities have been identified, optimal workload standards will be established to guarantee efficient management without compromising the quality of the investigations.
Subsequently, a redistribution of human and material resources will be carried out, aligning the assignment of personnel with the specific needs of each unit.
With these actions, the Prosecutor’s Office seeks to optimize response times and improve efficiency in cases resolution.
“What we want is to prosecute, reactivate investigations or determine its temporary file, and reduce the workload, since there are public ministries that have more than 1,000 research folders each,” he said.
