Along with the brother of the President of the Republic, Jorge Luis Ortiz Marreros, former director of the DGIN; the brothers Jorge and Noriel Chingay Salazar; and Zenovia Griselda Herrera Vásquez, former head of Qali Warma in the San Martín region, are under investigation for alleged criminal organization.

“This is an investigation into an alleged criminal organization that has not only carried out its activities in the capital, but in several regions. The most important thing is that it has the support of the current government, because the de facto power that the main suspect has had has often led to preventing the normal development of this investigation. This rule could cause harm,” said the prosecutor.

The representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office questioned the legislators who approved the law that modifies the scope of criminal organization and stressed that the norm was not observed by the Executive Branch.
