Prosecutor's Office initiates investigation of Congresswoman Lucinda Vásquez for alleged sale of the teaching exam

The Second Supreme Criminal Prosecutor’s Office decided to initiate an investigation against the congresswoman Vela and Ynés Gallardo Calixto, daughter of the former Minister of Education Carlos Gallardo, for the alleged commission of the crime of corruption of officials in the form of influence peddling, to the detriment of the State.

As reported by the tax office, the investigations are linked to the obtaining and sale of the National Single Test that would have been used as an exam for promotion to the Public Teaching Career, carried out on November 13, 2021.

According to a citizen complaint, the Prosecutor’s Office learned that, after violating confidentiality in the preparation and custody of the teaching evidence, persons not yet identified “They would have stolen the evaluation instrument and handed it over to the congresswoman of the Republic for San Martín, Lucinda Vásquez Vela”.

Then, based on the fiscal version, it is pointed out that “The parliamentarian would have delivered the evidence to third parties, who would have sold the document for up to S / 3,000 (for its apparent leak) in different provinces of San Martín”.

“Finally, the money collected would have been delivered to Congresswoman Vásquez Vela for unknown purposes”details the tax document.

The Prosecutor’s Office detailed that this investigation, which began on December 13, 2021, also includes teachers Hector Llamacpomcac Ravelo, Olga Carmela Chávez Muñoz, María Angelina Tapia Leyva, Jorge Fasanando Pezo and doctor Manuel Luis Zafra Carrera.

On January 7, the Public Ministry raided two houses located in the city of Tarapoto (San Martín), as part of the investigation to clarify the alleged sale of the “Exam for teacher 2021″.
