The Prosecutor’s Office announced that it has informed the National Authority for Control of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the alleged functional misconduct of the lawyer Luz Elizabeth Peralta Santur in response to the news spread in various media outlets that links her to the case of the brothers Siucho Neira and the television host Andrés Hurtado.
In an official statement, the Prosecutor’s Office said that the decision to refer the case is intended to ensure that this body acts in accordance with its powers and conducts a thorough investigation into the accusations.
The charges against the lawyer arise from images that were broadcast on a well-known television program, in which it is revealed that Peralta had held a video call with Iván Siucho, one of the Siucho brothers who are currently under investigation for alleged money laundering, and Andrés Hurtado, who is accused of being an alleged intermediary between the two.
There is even a photograph that shows the popular Andrés Hurtado together with the lawyer Elizabeth Peralta Sartur and the investigated Siucho brothers.
This procedure is announced in relation to the allegations published in the media suggesting improper conduct by Peralta Santur, who has the role of prosecutor specializing in money laundering and forfeiture crimes.
