The Directorate of the Itauguá National Hospital must submit a report to the Public Ministry, regarding the lack of timely attention to a mother, who ended up giving birth on the floor of the corridor.
Yennifer Marchuck is the prosecutor in the case, who already requested reports on what happened yesterday at the National Hospital, regarding the 30-year-old woman, who had her premature son without medical assistance and on the floor of the hospital, in the middle of a corridor.
exist photographs and videos that support the story of the baby’s grandmotherwho was in shock when she saw her daughter on the floor and without the help of any professional, to the point that she herself had to remove what she was wearing to facilitate labor.

For her part, the director Yolanda González, deeply regretted the fact, but he defended the doctors and maintained that they reached the woman, without an emergency being reported to them, so it could have been the responsibility of the nurse who received the patient and who did not identify the alarm signs.
The newborn is in intensive care, due to his premature condition, which, in itself, requires more rigorous care. He has already been extubated and is breathing on his own. The mother is also hospitalized, but in good condition.
The Itauguá National Hospital is one of the reference centers in neonatology. In addition, it is overcrowded with patients with chikungunya, a disease that also caused temporary absences on its campus.
