The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported this Friday that the opponent Fernando Martínez Mottola, who was residing at the Argentine Embassy in Venezuela, voluntarily went on Thursday, December 19, to the main headquarters of the Public Ministry.
This was made known by Saab, through a statement published on the Instagram account of the Public Ministry, in which he states that Martínez Mottola “stood up and gave a statement at the prosecutor’s office regarding the serious violent, conspiratorial and destabilizing events organized since the aforementioned diplomatic headquarters during the last months.”
“Martínez Mottola decided to actively collaborate with the Venezuelan justice system, within the framework of the due process provided for in Article 49 of the Constitution of the Republic,” the document quotes.
Earlier, it was learned that Martínez Mottola left the Embassy of Argentina in Venezuela after spending nine months at the diplomatic headquarters.
The information was reported by several national media that cited sources close to Martínez Mottola, who left the embassy on Thursday afternoon.
