Prosecutor initiates research by cyber attack by JNJ

The Second Corporate Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Cybercrime of Lima Center opened preliminary research by an alleged attack on the integrity of computer data in the detriment of the National Board of Justice (JNJ).

The case exploded after the irregular manipulation of a database that stored more than 1,200 digital documents of disciplinary procedures against judges and prosecutors were detected.

Among the affected files are cases that involve the prosecutor of the nation, Delia Espinoza, and the prosecutor of the special team Jato, José Domingo Pérez.

According to a report of August 2 of the Directorate of Disciplinary Procedures (DPD), “almost all of the complaints of 2025” were eliminated from the document management system (SGD). The compromised folder was a temporary directory without automated or auditing, according to the Information Technology Office (OTI).

Given the seriousness of the fact, the Prosecutor’s Office ordered the Division of Investigation of High Technology Crimes (Divindat) to carry out urgent proceedings to identify those responsible and determine if there was an internal sabotage or an external attack.
