Prosecutor Germán Juárez Atoche dissatisfied with the Judicial Power decision
Juárez Atoche won a sentence for both former leaders of Peru, however, he stressed that he is not satisfied with the judicial decision, as he initially requested 26 years and 6 months in prison for Heredia and 20 years for Humala.

Germán Juárez Atoche sympathized with prosecutor José Domingo Pérez
José Domingo Pérez was separated from the Prosecutor’s Office by the National Authority of Control of the Public Ministry, which is directed by Juan Fernández Jerí. In this regard, Juárez Atoche said that this action has been an attack on the Special Lava Jato team.
“The special team has been attacked since we began to make the accusations, in a sustained way. What happened to my colleague José Domingo Pérez with whom I solidarity and the special team is solidarity, these types of sanctions that I think do not lead to anything good,” he said.
Then, he added: “Dr. José Domingo Pérez is a member of the special team, even though there is a suspension that, I am sure that in an appeal it will be reversed or, in any case, in the constitutional route. But Domingo Pérez remains a member of the special team and is one of the people who, together, with all the other prosecutors of the special team, has added efforts to reach sentences such as today.”
