The Judiciary reported this Monday that the hearing will take place at 10:00 am. Everything indicates that the end of the party in which Antauro Humala, the Andahuaylazo murderer, sentenced for killing four police officers, plays, is approaching. In a hearing that will begin at 10:00 am today, the Permanent Constitutional and Social Law Chamber, headed by Judge José Wilfredo Díaz Vallejo, will decide whether or not to order the illegality of the registration of the National Workers Alliance party , Farmers, University Students, Reservists and Workers (ANTAURO) for attacking democracy.
The defense of the complaint will be the responsibility of the National Prosecutor, Juan Carlos Villena. Constitutional lawyer Enrique Ghersi told Perú21 that the Prosecutor’s Office has solid arguments to get the Judiciary to declare the ANTAURO party illegal and annul its registration.
He also explained that the Supreme Chamber will hear the arguments of the defense of both parties – prosecutor Villena and the party’s lawyer – and will have 60 days to make a decision. However, the court can request an additional 30-day extension if it needs more time to resolve.

-Secretary of ANTAURO, Rubén Ramos, told this newspaper that he hopes that the Supreme Court does not annul his registration because Antauro Humala’s statements were in his personal capacity.
