The Specialized Prosecutor for Electoral Crimes (FEDE) initiated investigation files against the head of the Ministry of the Interior (SG), Adán Augusto López; the head of the capital government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado Carrillo, who have been accused of committing alleged irregularities during the revocation process.
Sources from the security cabinet explained that it is the legal process that proceeds in all cases, to determine whether or not there is sufficient evidence to support an accusation before a judge; if these elements are not found, the folders will be discarded.
The head of the SG was denounced for having traveled, earlier this month, to Torreón, Coahuila, and to Hermosillo, Sonora, where he participated in massive activities in which he spoke in favor of voting in the revocation of the mandate.
Similarly, Sheinbaum Pardo was singled out for leading a demonstration at the Monument to the Revolution, where the consultation was discussed days before April 10, the date of the citizen exercise.
Finally, Delgado Carrillo was denounced by the PAN for having arranged trucks to transport people to the polls where they should vote on the day of the revocation day, conduct that they described as hauling.
Other complaints are being processed against the undersecretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Ricardo Mejía Berdeja; and the Commander General of the National Guard, Luis Rodríguez Bucio, who accompanied the head of the SG on his trip, using an official plane, according to the lawsuits.
The FEDE reported that throughout the mandate revocation process it received a total of 17 complaints, five of them filed on the same day as the consultation day.
However, only in 12 investigation folders have been opened, while in the rest it was found that there was not the minimum evidence to support the accusations.
