The Mixed Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Tacabamba, in Cajamarca, determined that it is not appropriate to formalize or continue with the preparatory investigation against the Republic President, Pedro Castilloand the first lady, Lilia Paredes, for the alleged crime against public faith in the form of generic falsehood.
“Accumulate the present tax file 313-2022 to the tax file No. 126-2022. Consequently, file the proceedings in the manner and form of law”is sustained in the resolution shared by RPP.
As you remember, six months ago the Public ministry launched an investigation against the head of state and his wife for the alleged plagiarism of his thesis to obtain a master’s degree from the Cesar Vallejo University (UCV). According to a journalistic complaint, the research work of the presidential couple had 54% plagiarism.
Faced with this, the president denied having incurred in the aforementioned offenses and issued a statement in which he rejected the findings of the report, which he described as “malicious.” Likewise, he declared that “the thesis work was validated with the respective educational quality standards.”
Complaint with “political overtones”
