Prosecutor decided not to charge gunsmith owner who killed criminal

Finally, the Prosecutor’s Office decided not to charge the owner of an armory that ended up shooting down a criminal after a frustrated assault in the town of San Cristóbal, department of Alto Paraná. It was found that the merchant acted in self-defense.

During this Sunday, the prosecutor José Silguero filed charges against the four detainees in relation to the attempted assault on the Wincolt armory, located in San Cristóbal. They are Juan Gabriel Gauto Caballero, Darwin Espínola Valdez, Ángel David Zorrilla Giménez and Aldo Luis Sosa Gadea.

These four people were prosecuted for the alleged commission of the punishable act of attempted intentional homicide, attempted aggravated robbery and criminal association after this episode, recorded yesterday morning in the town of San Cristóbal.

During this episode, one of the criminals, identified as Modesto Espínola Pintos, 26, was killed. He himself had an arrest warrant for family violence and aggravated robbery. On the other hand, Juan Gabriel Gauto, 23, was injured, with a history of aggravated robbery.

Based on the elements collected and analyzed, including closed circuit images, the prosecutor considers that José Felipe Zanetti, owner of the business, acted in legitimate defense, for which he will not be charged after ending the life of one of those involved. in fact.

The Public Ministry requested as a precautionary measure the preventive detention of the four defendants.
