In the parish of La Vega, in Caracas, the National Assembly of the Historical Block was held, with the objective of collecting community proposals for the Great National Congress of the Five Generations of the Revolution.
The Vice President of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, reported that since the evening of Friday, September 13, more than two thousand assemblies had been held, with the participation of more than 76 thousand people nationwide. “During this weekend, a greater mobilization of the people is expected to continue with these meetings.”
Menéndez stressed the importance of each organization and community uploading their discussions and proposals on the website of the Congress of the Historical Block https://congresodelblockhistorico.mppp.gob.ve “This will allow us to move forward on the projects needed by each community in the country.”
He also stressed that the grassroots assemblies have addressed crucial issues for the comprehensive development of communities, such as the response to fascism and citizen peace. “The pedagogical bases, convened by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, seek to make it the people who decide and build the future of the State, following the legacy of Commander Chávez.”
This Saturday, the assemblies also reached Porlamar, in the state of Nueva Esparta.
The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called for this congress to take place on October 4, 5 and 6, with the main objective of advancing the strategies and policies that will guide the country in the coming decades, to ensure sustainable and equitable development.
The participation of various sectors of society is expected, who will contribute their perspectives and proposals to strengthen the Bolivarian project.
