During this day, the Summit for Peace was held in the city of Temuco, La Araucanía region, with the aim of seeking solutions to the security problems that affect the area. The activity was organized by the Regional Government and among one of its guests is the promoter of the Plan Araucanía during the government of the former president, Sebastian Pinera, Alfredo Moreno.
The activity took place at the Dreams Events Center in Temuco and included the interventions of the regional governor of La Araucanía, Luciano Rivas, in addition to the work of different commissions. The president of the Republic, Gabriel Boricdid not attend the event.

Commission Work
The main objective of the Summit for Peace in La Araucanía is to discuss different issues that affect the region, such as security, peace, infrastructure, indigenous policies and regional development.
This work is divided into different commissions, which have expert moderators on the subject, for subsequent debates.

Refusal of President Gabriel Boric
Yesterday, the President exclaimed that he will assist the region once he has proposals for solutions to the problems that afflict the area.
“We have also learned that in order to find long-term solutions to the conflict between the Chilean State and the Mapuche people, it is necessary to work without great fuss,” explained the President, Gabriel Boric.
The regional governor, Luciano Rivas, lamented the president’s refusal, indicating that “we need La Araucanía to be the center of attention.”
The meeting will end with the signing of a declaration with the proposals and solutions emanating from the work commissions, the document will be delivered to the Government.
