With the aim of lowering the costs of the main products that make up the family basketthe National Council for the Support and Promotion of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Promipyme) arranged RD$100 million to be placed at a preferential rate for the benefit of more than 5,000 grouped businesses in different associations and federations of retail merchants in the Dominican Republic.
This initiative will be executed through an agreement signed by Promipymethe National Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) and various merchant associations.
Porfirio PeraltaCEO of Promipyme, recalled that said agreement is part of the measures announced by the President of the Republic, Louis Abinaderon March 24 of this year.

The monetary provision of RD$100,000,000.00, is to be placed at a preferential rate through the institution that directs the National Federation of Retail Merchants of Provisions (Fenacodepro), so that they can acquire products, with assistance, collaboration or through the INESPRE at producer prices and resell them in their small shops at the population at special prices.
“We are sure that by correctly handling the administration of these funds, the prices in the packed they will be cheaper, thus benefiting the programs, which will guarantee discounts for basic necessities, so that they reach consumers at good prices; and to the extent that this is fulfilled, it will reach the entire national territory”, said the general director of prompymePorfirio Peralta.
