The actor Rubén Breña, with an outstanding career in radio, television, film and theater, died today in Havana.
He was hospitalized in the intensive care ward of the Hermanos Amejeiras Clinical Surgical Hospital due to erosive gastritis.

But his authorities denied it: «From the first moment the patient has all the treatment required for erosive gastritis with the application of the drug Omeprazole bb 20mg, according to the action protocols. The hospital has everything necessary for their care and we will keep the information updated through the already established channels of hospitalized patients.
Born in Pinar del Río in 1953, he graduated from the National School of Theater Direction of the Ministry of Culture. In 1970 he was part of the theater groups Zafarrancho and Trotamundos.
On television he achieved great popularity for his performances in various soap operas, teleplays, soap operas and stories. He is especially remembered for his work in Tierra brava, Stories of Fire, When the water returns to the earth and blue is blue.
