The Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre, together with his work team, participated in the meeting of the high-level commission led by the Ministry of Government, for the treatment of requests from the native peoples of the country, where he presented the main advances in the projects and execution of works that are developed in the regional territories.
“Today the DASI team presented a report on the analysis of the works that have been executed, those that are currently advancing and which are being projected in the different indigenous territories and that must be fulfilled under the administration of President Laurentino. Cortizo”, said Minister Sucre.
Patricio Montezuma director of the DASI explained that to date the Quebrada Hacha Health Center in the Ngäbe-Buglé region and the construction of the El Salto health center, Emberá-Wounaan region have been handed over and to date 9 projects by orders to proceed mostly in the province of Darién.
The representatives of the different indigenous peoples reiterated the various requests to the holder of the Portfolio, among which they indicated; improve the conditions of the health facilities, activate the health posts, increase the staff in the different health centers and reinforce the issue of supply.
Currently, the MINSA is carrying out several projects for improvements and medical attention in all the regional areas of the country.
