Project seeks to increase resources for migrants

The President of the Republic, Iván Duque, together with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), yesterday presented the Integra project, an initiative that seeks to contribute to Colombia having a comprehensive policy for migration management.

(Bogotá, first destination of Venezuelan migration in Colombia).

The project has a investment of US$40 million to improve the situation of the migrant population, especially from Venezuela.

(Venezuelan migration would now look to the United States).

Integra seeks to improve the border management of the Colombian Government, strengthen the capacity of territorial governments to provide the migrant population with access to quality social services, and reduce xenophobia towards migrants.
