On March 17, the Minister of Social Development, María Inés Castillo, presented to the plenary session of the National Assembly the Bill to become a public policy and the country strategy for the fight against poverty and inequality.
This afternoon the plenary session of the Assembly approved in the third debate Bill 794, of the Beehive Plan, which aims to ensure the needs of people living in vulnerable conditions, poverty and extreme poverty.
On March 17, the Minister of Social Development, María Inés Castillo, presented the Bill to the plenary session of the National Assembly so that it would become a public policy and the country’s strategy for the fight against poverty and inequality.
Castillo stressed that, with this Plan, the Social Cabinet seeks to improve the quality of life of more than 777 thousand Panamanians who live in extreme multidimensional poverty in 300 districts of 63 districts of the country.
