Proinvestment approved the hiring of external legal advice from the Muñiz, Olaya, Meléndez, Castro, Ono & Herrera Abogados Law Firm for the asset reorganization process of Petroperu. As indicated, this operation aims to provide maximum guarantees of legal security to the process.
Through a statement, he stated that highly specialized legal support will accompany the execution of the order granted by the Government through Emergency Decree No. 010-2025. He argued that the complexity involved in a capital reorganization of this magnitude requires rigorous legal protection to ensure that the management of the assets and liabilities of the state company is carried out under strict regulatory standards.
“The selection of the firm was based on the evaluation of its technical capacity and proven experience in complex corporate operations, especially business reorganization, optimization and corporate rearrangements,” the statement said.
They maintained that the external legal team will have the responsibility of validating the legal viability of the strategy and mitigating risks, allowing progress to be made with the speed that the company’s financial situation requires.
“Legal support is an essential component to execute an orderly, transparent and technical asset reorganization, aimed exclusively at recovering the sustainability of Petroperú and guaranteeing the continuity of the fuel chain in the country, safeguarding the public interest,” they concluded.
