Proética, the Peruvian chapter of Transparency International, considered that the mission sent by the Organization of American States (OAS) it must originate a space for constructive dialogue that allows finding a political solution to the current crisis in the country, which must be framed within the constitutional channels.
Through a statement, he indicated that he welcomes the decision of the organization that, in application of the Inter-American Democratic Charter, will commission a high-level mission to “promote dialogue” and the strengthening of the democratic system of government.
“It is about facing the challenges that corruption represents in the serious context of polarization, and its negative consequences on inequality, poverty and injustice”he pointed.
He pointed out that the corruption investigations involving the president peter castleas well as his political and family environment, have given rise to a constitutional complaint “without precedents” in Peru.
It indicated that said complaint filed with the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations is supported by documents, testimonies, and multiple elements of conviction about the existence of a corrupt network from power.

In this sense, Proética stated that the magnitude of this serious crisis demands “urgent decisions”but also deep “structural reforms”.
In addition, he explained that it requires a “serene effort and at the same time enthusiastic” to find spaces that allow putting ethics at the center of the exercise of power and find practical solutions to the entrapment we are experiencing.
