Rodríguez and the president of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Guadalupe Taddei, agreed that this Friday began one of the most important stages to enlist everything necessary in order for citizens to exercise their vote on June 1.
The president of the electoral body – accompanied by four of her colleagues and the main INE officials – said that the challenge is that all the authorities involved serve in time and form the organization of these historical elections, a logistics that will have the support of the Defense.
He said that this process is unpublished, it is a watershed not only in Mexico by determining new elements within the electoral system, but internationally, because it will give other countries starting points to choose judges by vote.
Day and night work
TGM is a decentralized organ of the Ministry of the Interior that will work in the next weeks of its installed capacity to produce up to 10 million tickets a day, all in security paper, infallsifiable, almost like the tickets, it was indicated.
For 48 years he collaborates in this type of work, in the elections of 2024 he printed 406 million tickets, both of the federal elections and some premises.
The first run corresponds to the ballots of two of the six dispute positions; That is, in principle, the corresponding elections will occur, for the least number of candidacies: ministers (Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation) and magistrates of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation.
Within 20 days there will be lists the rotating ones (offset and digital) to enter the data of members of the Court of Judicial Discipline and the most complicated, circuit magistrates and district judges.
In total, of the six elections, there are 881 charges. From that magnitude, 602.3 million tickets to print are derived, under the assumption that would go to the polls 100 percent of the nominal list that is at almost 100 million voters.
President Claudia Shein-Baum instructed the security cabinet to provide guarantees to the electoral authorities and, in particular, the shelter and transfer of the electoral documentation, of the TGM towards the 300 district boards of the INE.
