Producers affected by floods receive 500 quintals of pig feed

The producers affected by the recent floods in the central provinces, received this Monday, November 21, one hundred quintals of food sacks to pig producers in the Porqueriza area in La Villa de Los Santos, by the regional Ministry of Agricultural Development.

Since last November 9, when the floods occurred, authorities of the agricultural sector declared a state of environmental emergency to attend and give answers to the producers who were affected by the intense rains in three provinces of the country.

So far, 500 quintals (qq) of pig fattening feed have been delivered to producers in the provinces of Los Santos and Herrera.

For Tuesday, November 22, the Livestock Directorate and the Regional Directorate of Veraguas, will deliver in the South of Mariato, about 100 bags of molasses, 100 qq of corn silos, 100 qq of food for bovine consumption and 70 qq of salt mineral.

While, in Los Santos and Herrera, 400 qq of pig food and 100 qq of fattening food will be given.
