Producer prices in Colombia fell 0.84% ​​in March

Contrary to the behavior of inflation, which in March registered a new increase in its annual variation, settling at 13.34%, the Producer Price Indexwhich measures the costs for national production, fell and registered a decrease in its monthly variation of 0.84% ​​compared to February 2023.

(Annual inflation for March 2023 in Colombia was 13.34%).

For the reference month (March 2023), the Agriculture, livestock, forestry, hunting and fishing sectors fell 0.56%, while Manufacturing Industries fell 0.27%, thus registering variations above the average (-0.84%).

The only sector that registered a lower than average variation was Mining and quarrying with -4.68%.

(Agro and food took the pace of exports this 2023).

For their part, between January and March producer prices rose 0.55% from 14.08 in the same period of 2022.

Finally, producer prices accumulated an increase of 21.81% during 2022.
