The Ministry of Production (Produce) this Wednesday authorized the granting of subsidies for up to S / 3′362,650 in favor of individuals and private legal entities that execute innovation subprojects in fishing and aquaculture, derived from the competitions of the National Program for Innovation in Fishing and Aquaculture (PNIPA) 2018- 2019 and 2020-2021.
The measure was ordered through Directorial Resolution No. 124-2021-Produce-PNIPA-DE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano, where they reported that the resources of the subsidies may not be used for purposes other than for which they are transferred.
These subprojects correspond to the categories of Applied Research and Technological Development (SIADE), Extension Services (SEREX), Adaptive Research (SIA) and Capacity Building in R & D & I Services (SFOCA).

According to the norm, the monetary resources correspond to the financing source Directly Raised Resources (S / 306,197.00), Ordinary Resources (S / 885,970.13) and Resources for Official Credit Operations – IBRD Indebtedness (S / 2′170,483.20), within the framework of the loan contract 8692-PE and the provisions of Law 31084, which approves the Public Sector Budget for Fiscal Year 2021.
It also provides that the delivery of authorized grants will be covered by the budget approved in this fiscal year assigned to Executing Unit 005: National Program for Innovation in Fisheries and Aquaculture (PNIPA), from the indicated funding sources.
Monitoring
The resolution determines that the Units of Innovation in Fishing and Innovation in Aquaculture, Macro Regional Offices, Administration Unit, must carry out the pertinent actions for the adequate monitoring, follow-up and fulfillment of the purposes and goals for which the aforementioned subsidies are granted. .
In addition, the Planning and Budget Unit, the Administration Unit and the Technical Units for Innovation in Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Macro Regional Offices, have to inform the holder of the tender on a biannual basis about the physical and financial progress of the goals for the which resources were delivered; as well as the results achieved and the benefits generated by the delivery of authorized grants.
