On the two complaints that exist against members of the Inter-Institutional Committee in the departments of Chuquisaca and La Paz, the departmental prosecutor of Santa Cruz, Róger Mariaca, reported this Monday afternoon that the first one was declined “through a resolution by of the judicial authority of Chuquisaca and resolves to decline jurisdiction“, so that It is currently in Santa Cruz and has an assigned prosecutor.

This process arises from the complaint by Rolando Cruz Pemintel, Eduardo Coria and Verónica Huanca against Rómulo Calvo and Luis Fernando Camacho for the alleged commission of the crime of conspiracy, racist organizations and discriminatory and others, indicated Mariaca. These three people belong to the so-called Promoting Committee for Justice in Chuquisaca.

Mariaca pointed out that the La Paz case, in which Juan Marcelo Mayta Huanca denounces Luis Fernando Camacho, Rómulo Calvo, Vicente Cuéllar, Reinerio Vargas and José Luis Santistevan, continues in that department. He explained that although there was a declinatory, it was by matter and not by territory. The judge who heard the case declined jurisdiction to an anti-corruption judge from the department of La Paz.

This Monday morning, the Attorney General, Juan Lanchipa, maintained that the Public Ministry unified the criminal proceedings against Calvo, Camacho, Cuéllar, Vargas and Santistevan into a single case; He indicated that it will take place in La Paz and that it contemplates more than a dozen crimes.

“All the complaints have been accumulated; due to the connection of facts, accumulation has been ordered in only one, which is located in the La Paz Departmental Prosecutor’s Office,” Lanchipa said.

Among the complaints filed in that department are that of the Central Obrera Regional (COR) of El Altofor the alleged commission of the crimes of resolutions contrary to the law, attacks against President Luis Arce and others.

Another is the one presented by the Single Union Confederation of Peasant Workers of Bolivia (Csutcb) against Camacho, Calvo, and Cuéllar due to the burning of their peasant headquarters, which occurred on November 11 in the capital of Santa Cruz.

While, according to Mariaca, the complaint filed in Chuquisaca is in Santa Cruz.

“Summarizing: in Santa Cruz there is knowledge of a fact and a complaint, which emerges from a Decline of jurisdiction based on territorythe result of which we have now learned and we are waiting for the jurisdictional control to authorize both the prosecutors and the police to carry out different procedures ”, explained Mariaca.

He explained that, despite the fact that the investigation notebook is in Santa Cruz, there is still no jurisdictional control.

“The prosecutor assigned to the case informed me that there would be a small problem in relation to the jurisdictional controll, since it would not yet be known through a interim judge”, indicated Mariaca.
