Pro Dominicana seeks to improve investment permits

The Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) has signed agreements with more than five institutions for the implementation and strengthening of the Single Window of Investment of the Dominican Republic (Vuird), through which it seeks to reduce the installation and investment processes of new companies in the country.

Of the agreements signed, three have been made with local governments, the Guayacanes Municipal Council, the Miches Municipal Mayor’s Office and the National District Mayor’s Office, in order to facilitate investments and avoid bureaucracy when developing and installing local projects or foreign investment.

The most recent agreement was the one signed yesterday with the Mayor’s Office of the National District (ADN), through which several essential aspects that previously limited the foreign investment and the expansion of entrepreneurs looking to set up their own business, including infrastructure, energy, tourism and communication, reported the director of ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro.

Riveiro assured that, with a single portal that collects all the territorial information, the investor will be able to focus their investment and accelerate the installation processes, for which updated data is required to facilitate the agility of permits, guarantee fluidity, security, transparency and efficiency of all processes of installation and expansion of Foreign investment Direct (FDI).

In this sense, and unlike the other agreements, the ADN has the task of promoting the operability of the portal so that it becomes an agile and reliable tool for investors. Through digital implementation, they aspire to consolidate a digital instrument with the power to channel greater investment flows.
