Just eight days before the expiration of the term of 90 days granted by the National Institute Protection of Consumer Rights (Pro Consumer) so that the merchants protect the water bottles exposed to the sun’s rays, the executive director of the entity, Eddy Alcántara, called on that sector to comply with what was agreed.
- “The main objective of Pro Consumer is to guarantee that what is marketed complies with the regulations established and does not jeopardize the health of the Dominicans,” said Alcántara.

In an interview with Diario Libre, Alcántara explained that several associations of merchants have requested a extension of the term due to conflicts with municipal authorities.
