The National Commission for Internal Elections (CNI) of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) is summoning the delegates to the XXI National Convention Ordinary José Rafael Abinader Wassaf, in which the new authorities of that organization will be chosen next Sunday.
The CNI explained that the activity has as its agenda the election of the members to the Presidency and General Secretariat of that organization, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 15.
The convention is scheduled to take place in the Volleyball Pavilion, of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Centerin the National District, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
On April 28, the CNI closed the registration process of the national slates to the positions of Presidency and General Secretary of the party.
Before the closing of the process, José Ignacio Paliza presented the registration of his plate as a candidate for the presidency of the PRM along with Milagros Ortiz Bosch as first vice president, Eddy Olivares as second vice president and Nelson Arroyo as third vice president.
Meanwhile, Carolina Mejía presented her candidacy for the General Secretariat of that organization, with Kelvin Cruz in the first undersecretary, Lia Santana de Díaz in the second and Jean Luis Rodríguez in the third.
Also registered his aspirations to the presidency, the perremeísta Ramón Antonio Liranzo.
The PRM reported that 1,300 delegates from all over the country are summoned to vote. The delegates They are the members of the National Committee, mayors, deputies, senators, directors of municipal districts and party authorities, among others.
