Officials from the Special Victims Division of the Cicpc arrested Cleyder José Colmenares Navarro (28), for being responsible for the homicide and robbery of Durkis Karina Hernández Briceño (38), who had been missing since last June 28.
Through a report posted on its Instagram account, the Cicpc reported that on June 28, the victim left his residence located in the Mirador de Caiza urbanization, Cristóbal Rojas municipality, Miranda state, telling his relatives that he would go to Charallave to carry out different errands; However, he did not return.
On the day of Durkis’ disappearance, she was subdued by Cleyder, who was in the vicinity of the victim’s home and tried to take away her cellular device; However, the victim objected and the subject proceeded to beat her and suffocate her until she was dead, throwing her body into a ravine.
After the subject’s arrest, he led the commissions to the site where he dumped Hernández’s body, whose skeletal remains were rescued and subjected to forensic expertise, confirming the identity.
