The Cicpc reported on the capture of Emilio Medina (67), who is accused of the quadruple homicide of Daicys Albertina Monje Arteaga (45), her daughters, Daimarys Dessire Monje Arteaga (17), Dailimar Betzabeth Monje Arteaga (22) and her son-in-law, Enderson José Álvarez Cordero (29), occurred in the Areguito sector, Santa Cruz de Bucaral parish, Falcón state, in the early morning of September 30.
Through a report, the Cicpc stated that Emilio had had a romantic relationship with Daicys, but she had ended it weeks ago due to her partner’s jealousy; however, the man did not accept the separation.
On the day of the crime, the man showed up at the victims’ home, where he had a new argument, pulled out a knife and proceeded to kill Daicys and her daughter Dailimar, who tried to defend her mother from the attack, then the Daimarys and Enderson go to the house, where they are attacked by the sexagenarian with a shock absorber. First he attacks the man until he leaves him unconscious and then, with the knife, he ends their lives.
After noticing what happened, the subject altered the scene of the event, removing Enderson’s clothing, to simulate a murder-suicide between them. He finally flees the scene and is subsequently arrested and handed over to the Public Ministry.

In another event, last Friday the body of Maira Alejandra Castro Rodríguez (32) was located, who showed signs of having been strangled. This event occurred in the house where Maira lived with her boyfriend located on 9th Street in Los Jardines de El Valle, Caracas.
The woman had returned from Colombia on October 2. The body was lifted by Cicpc agents, who took a preliminary statement from the neighbors. Many of them said they heard Maira’s screams on the night of October 3.
