As a result of the accusation presented by the Public Ministry, the citizen Armando Ruiz Díaz (79) was condemned to be 21 years old, four months and 15 days in prison; for his responsibility in sexual abuse against two children, 7 and 8 years old; respectively.
The incident was discovered on June 23 of this year, after a complaint made by the mother of one of the victims before the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) in the Samuel Darío Maldonado municipality of the Táchira state, he reviewed a press release of the public body.
According to the investigation, during the aforementioned date a woman went to the UNB to denounce Ruiz Díaz; Because his son confessed that the man had abused him when they worked alone in a cassava plantation.
In this sense, medical and forensic evaluations determined that the child had injuries in the anal region; as well as behaviors associated with people who have been victims of abuse.
As the investigations advanced, another child was presented to denounce Ruiz Díaz under the same modus operandi. In his statement he added that the farmer had taken it by force and penetrated anally. His testimony was corroborated after relevant medical exams.
Due to the findings, Ruiz Díaz was apprehended two days later at his home; Located in the Caño Azul of the town known as La Land. Once on the site, the farmer offered resistance, insults and threatened the officials who left him available to the Public Ministry.
In the preliminary hearing, the 22nd Prosecutor’s Office of Táchira ratified the accusation against Ruiz Díaz for the Sexual Abuse Commission with continuous penetration to the detriment of the two children; In addition to threats and outrage to public official.
Once the fiscal representation evacuated the means of evidence concerning the case, the 8th Court of Control that Andean entity issued the aforementioned condemnation and ordered its imprisonment in the Penitentiary Center of the West; located in Santa Ana del Táchira.
