A man identified as Yorfran Arias was arrested by the authorities as allegedly responsible for the death of a person in the state of Carabobo, while driving while intoxicated.
Attorney General Tarek William Saab reported in a post on Instagram that the man had driven his vehicle “irresponsibly and recklessly,” which led Arias to run over a person, who lost his life after the accident and whose identity was not revealed.
The man was charged with the crime of intentional homicide as a result of possible intent.
In another incident, citizen Anthony Rivero was arrested for the crimes of intentional homicide as a result of possible fraud and failure to provide aid. According to a publication by the Public Ministry on its social networks, said subject irresponsibly and recklessly drove his vehicle at excess speed, causing a traffic accident and causing the death of a citizen who was traveling in a type vehicle (motorcycle), fleeing without providing the corresponding assistance to the aforementioned victim, whose name was not made known.
The road event was also recorded in the state of Carabobo. The Public Ministry will continue with the investigations of both cases and their corresponding judicial process in accordance with the provisions of the laws.
