Inabie will allocate RD$21,000 million to purchase food
The National Institute of Student Welfare (Inabie) It has projected an investment of RD$21,000 million in food for students in the next school year 22-23.
Currently the School Feeding Program (PEA) executed by Inabie impacts around two million public school students daily, of which 700,000 receive breakfast and around 1,300,000 lunch and snacks.
These figures represent some 5.0 million food rations that are delivered every day and 600,000 households benefited, which have an estimated effective savings of more than RD$1,800 million per month.

CD approves US$600 million loans, one is due until 2041
The Plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies (CD) yesterday approved two new loan contracts for the sum of US$600 million, to finance the electricity sector and the Development Policy Operations Program.
The loans were sent to the lower house by the Executive Power on March 24, and now they must be endorsed by the Senate.
In another vote, the deputies approved in second reading the Bill of Law that creates the province Matias Ramon Mellamade up of four municipalities in the Santo Domingo province, which requires the establishment of new state institutions and raising congressional and local enrollment.

Vice Raquel Peña is appointed as head of the Environment

MP seizes assets of Jean Alain Rodríguez
The Public ministry yesterday seized three properties in the National District, belonging to the former attorney Jean Alain Rodriguez Sanchezincluding a flat in a building on Gustavo Mejía Ricart Avenue, as part of the investigation in the so-called case “Operation Medusa”.
The properties seized by the MP are an office floor in the Torre Solazar, on Avenida Gustavo Mejia Ricart 54with an area of 652 square meters and several parking spaces.
Supposedly it was bought by the trading company Jurinvest Lawyersowned by Rodríguez Sánchez, on October 12, 2020, for US$800,000.
