Prince Harry accuses his brother William of assaulting him and insulting his wife, in his memoir

In his long-awaited book of memoirs, In the shadowPrince Harry says he was physically “attacked” by his brother Williamheir to the British throne, during a discussion about Meghan Markle, according to leaked excerpts from the autobiography.

The book was supposed to go on sale on January 10, however, it was put “accidentally” for sale on Thursday by the Spanish bookstore Casa del Libro.

In the autobiography, Enrique, 38, recounts a 2019 family fight in London, during which Guillermo called Meghan Marklewith whom his brother had married a year before, as “difficult”, “rude” and “rough”according to The Guardian newspaper.

“He grabbed me by the collar (of the shirt), ripping off the collar, and threw me to the ground. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which broke under my back,” according to a quote from the book.

Harry then asked his older brother to leave. This, who seemed “sorry and apologized”, asked him not to tell what happened, according to a dialogue between the two included in the memories.

Buckingham Palace had no comment on the matter.

Potentially Explosive Revelations
The British royal family carries months preparing for the revelations of the memories of the prince who in 2020 shook the monarchy when, together with Meghan, he announced that they were leaving their functions in it and went to live in the United States.

The publication was disrupted by the death at the beginning of September of his grandmother Isabel II, at the age of 96 and after more than seven decades of reign, which brought his father, Carlos III, 74, to the throne, who will be crowned in May.

After years of rumors about the tumultuous relationship between the two brothers, very close in their teens after the death of their mother, Princess Diana, in 1997, HHarry settled accounts with Guillermo in a controversial documentary series titled Harry & Meghan, released by Netflix in December.

In it, he and Meghan Markle recounted their difficulties within the royal family and lashed out at the racist attacks against the exactriz, that she is mixed race, and the harassment of the British tabloid press.

But Harry also accused Guillermo’s entourage of negative media coverage against them, due, he claimed, to the fact that with his popularity “stealed prominence” from other members of the royal family, like his brother and his wife, Kate.

Since they left for California, where the exactriz’s family and friends live, the image of the couple has plummeted in the United Kingdom, where many accuse them of being selfish and taking advantage.

In excerpts from a television interview ahead of the book’s release on ITV in the UK and CBS in the US, scheduled to air this Sunday, Harry says he wants “a family, not an institution.”

“I would like my father back. I would like my brother back,” he says.

Although in September they appeared together, with their respective wives, to pay tribute to their late grandmother, it seems that the brothers have not spoken since Harry and Meghan moved to the United States.

From there, they launched harsh accusations against the royal family in an explosive March 2021 interview with reality TV star Oprah Winfrey, including one of racism.

“We are not a racist family at all,” replied Guillermo angrily, at the time.
