Primos Tralcal returned to prison after their first Sunday outing

José Tralcal Coche and Luis Tralcal Quidel, cousins sentenced to 18 years in prison for the crime of arson resulting in the death of the Luchsinger-Mackay couple, returned to the Center for Education and Work (CET) in the Victoria commune after 9:30 p.m. hours. This, after making his first Sunday outing.

Around 07:00 am, both traveled to the commune of Padre las Casas on their way to their Mapuche community, where they stayed throughout the day.

The extra-prison benefit was granted by the Technical Council of the Gendarmerie of Chile, after being denied during the last administration of Sebastián Piñera, despite the fact that according to their defenses, they had already served half their sentence.

Given this, the National Renewal bench invited the Minister of Justice, Marcela Ríos, and instructed the Comptroller’s Office to deliver the legal justifications for the quarterly exit, in order to anticipate future requests for parole from the convicted.
