The national vice president of Organization of the opposition party Primero Justicia (PJ), Edinson Ferrer, announced this Thursday a strategic plan made up of seven axes of action with the aim of reactivating political participation and social in Venezuela, and strengthen the territorial organization of the party in the face of the institutional challenges facing the country.
The presentation took place at the seminar “Territory, organization and democracy: the route to reconstruct Venezuela”, an event promoted by the vice-presidency of Formation of the aurinegra awning, in which leaders, militants and members of civil society gathered to debate proposals that strengthen citizen protagonism.
Ferrer explained that the initiative seeks to involve not only the leadership within Primero Justicia, but also the general population through concrete actions that encourage civic and political commitment.
“We seek for civil society to organize at all levels, from territorial strengthening to connection with those outside the country. The objective is for each Venezuelan to have an active role in the construction of the democratic future,” stated the leader.
The political proposal is articulated in seven main axes, designed to recover the presence and impact of the party in the communities, train local leaders and establish solid links with the Venezuelan diasporato. These are:
Territorial strengthening
This axis prioritizes the organization of leaders of P.J. in each municipality, parish and community, with a view to building a solid base of citizen support and a force capable of influencing future electoral processes. The strategy also includes the formation of Family Commands, nearby support structures that facilitate communication and mobilization within the neighborhoods.
Comprehensive training
Ferrer emphasized the need to train members in political, technical and human matters to avoid improvisations and guarantee effective leadership in times of change. They propose the creation of Houses of Democracy, community spaces for learning and the exchange of ideas, taking advantage of the knowledge of local professionals and trades.
Regional identity
The plan seeks to recover and highlight the strength of state and municipal identities as a driver of social cohesion. “Identity unites us and gives us strength,” said Ferrer, underlining the value of recognizing cultural particularities as an element of political integration.
Social fabric
PJ proposes carrying out a census of professional unions—such as teachers, lawyers, engineers and entrepreneurs—to put that human capital at the service of the re-institutionalization of the countrypromoting community leadership and active citizen participation.
Stabilization
This axis aims to encourage each individual, together with his or her “family command,” to immediately become involved in solving local problems, continually asking “How can I best serve my community today?”
Strengthening new generations
Youth participation is seen as key to change. The plan contemplates the incorporation of young people into public life and the creation of spaces that enhance their role in democratic reconstruction. Ferrer called to identify and support emerging talents in universities, communities and businesses to turn them into actors of change.
Global connection with the diaspora
Finally, PJ seeks to strengthen the relationship with Venezuelans living outside the country. The goal is to maintain active and informative communications to involve the diaspora in democratic reconstruction and internal party initiatives.
The leader concluded by inviting citizens to follow the detailed explanation of each axis through PJ’s social networks and to organize Family Commands with close groups of up to 20 people, including family and neighbors, as a cornerstone to strengthen social and political cohesion in the face of future electoral contests.
Ferrer closed by emphasizing that “the transition will not be the work of a few,” highlighting that electoral victory and future stability will depend largely on the preparation and collective organization achieved now.
