In addition to Joe Biden and Xi Jipingthe Prime Minister of Canada announced that he will visit Peru on the occasion of this meeting.
The Canadian embassy in Peru announced the arrival of the Canadian Prime Minister on its official X account. In the same message, the entity reported that Justin Trudeau will also travel to the G20 Leaders Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Joe Biden and Xi Jinping
Before that, on November 7, at a press conference, White House press secretary Kerine Jean-Pierre reported that the president of the United States Joe Biden will be present at the summit of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) in Peru and at the G20 summit in Brazil, both will take place in November 2024
“He is planning to participate in both conferences. “He will go to Peru and Brazil to participate in these two summits (APEC and G20),” said Jean-Pierre, while adding that there will be more news about it later, but for the moment he can only confirm President Biden’s attendance.
In that sense, the representative of one of the largest economies in the world will arrive in Lima to be with other leaders such as the president of China, Xi Jinping. However, not all of the 21 APEC participants will arrive in Peruvian lands, this is the case of Lula Da Silva who reported a few days ago that he will not attend to be able to focus on the summit that will be held days later in Brazil.
These two trips to Latin American countries will be the last that Biden will make before handing over his mandate to Donald Trump, who recently won the US elections after defeating Kamala Harris.
