Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, arrives in Peru to participate in the APEC Forum

His arrival took place at the Callao Air Base, where he was received by the Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Daniel Maurate, who attended on behalf of the head of state.

Trudeau’s visit was confirmed by theCanadian embassy in Peruon November 10, through its official X account. In the same message, the entity reported that Justin Trudeau will also travel to the G20 Leaders Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that he will participate in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Lima, Peru and the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,” the announcement reads.

Joe Biden and Xi Jinping also arrived in Peru

On the same day as the arrival of the Prime Minister of Canada, the presidents of the United States and China They also set foot on national soil.

According to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, the main objective of this meeting will be to convey the message of maintaining “stability, clarity and predictability” in bilateral relations during the political transition in the United States.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping was received this Thursday afternoon by President Dina Boluarte at the Government Palace, within the framework of the Leaders Week of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC).

Before his arrival, the president published an article in the newspaper El Peruano. In this letter, he mentioned the affection that Peruvians have for the Chinese and that, despite this being the second time he has set foot in the country, the affection of the people has left him absorbed. Likewise, he demonstrated his knowledge of Peruvian traditions by knowing that we call Chinese food restaurants “chifas” and that we have a special day to strengthen the ties of friendship with the eastern country.
