This Saturday, the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, arrived in the country on an official visit to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation with the national government.
The Prime Minister was received by Foreign Minister Yván Gil at the Simón Bolívar International Airport, and then went to the National Pantheon where a floral offering was made to the Liberator Simón Bolívar.
In the next few hours, he will hold a productive work agenda with government authorities on energy, agriculture and air transport, among other areas of cooperation.

Barbados and Venezuela have maintained diplomatic relations dating back 54 years, which have been strengthened since the arrival of the Revolution, thanks to Commander Hugo Chávez. Likewise, these ties have been expanding during the government of President Nicolás Maduro with the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy.
The Caribbean nation has been one of Venezuela’s companions in its fight for the elimination of the illegal coercive measures imposed unilaterally by the United States against the country.
Venezuela has strengthened ties with the Caribbean region, through PetroCaribe and the Caribbean Community, Caricom.
It should be remembered that the Caribbean week was recently celebrated in the country, regarding the 50th anniversary of Caricom.
