The Federal Highway Police (PRF) arrested yesterday (16) the drug dealer Valdeci Alves dos Santos, known as Colored, one of the leaders of the criminal faction Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). He was arrested on the BR-116 highway, in the Pernambuco municipality of Salgueiro.
The capture action had the collaboration of the Federal Police of three states – Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul and Rio Grande do Norte. Colored had been on the run since 2014 and had his name included in the list of most wanted men in the country by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
Investigations carried out by the police forces and the Public Ministry indicated that Colored lived in Bolivia during part of the time he was on the run. He is considered by investigators to be the number two of the faction.
“The delinquent, now out of operation, was one of the main heads in the drug supply scheme for the states of the Southeast Region of the country”, said the ministry, in a note. The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Anderson Torres, celebrated the arrest on social media.
The current leader of the PCC, Marcos Roberto de Almeida, known as Tuta, remains at large. His leadership would have been appointed by another leader, Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, known as Marcola, who transferred responsibilities over the faction due to his difficulty in communicating in the federal penitentiary system, where he is being held.
