A few weeks ago, the Minister of Tourism, Matías Lammens, confirmed that this year the fourth edition of Pre-Tripagainst which tour operators are optimistic.
The Argentine Federation of Associations of Travel and Tourism Companies (FAEVYT), which represents more than 5,000 travel agencies throughout the country, stated that the program is “essential” for the sector and that with Pre-Trip there is no low season.
“The announcement of Pre-Trip 4 is fundamental for our sector, because it will mean that, For many of the travel agencies that sell national destinations, there will be practically no low season, as happened last year.“, indicated Andrés Deyá, president of the organization.
He also stated: “The Pre-Trip it generates economic movement throughout the country: it is synonymous with development and growth for each locality, town and city in Argentina. Travel agencies are great protagonists of the program, concentrating more than 50% of its sales”.
The businessman highlighted that during the three previous editions of the program, 53,000 jobs were generated and 200 million pesos were mobilized, which has undoubtedly been a great incentive for the growth of the sector.
“For 16 months now our industry has been among the main sectors leading the recovery of employment. Without a doubt, the Pre-Trip It was one of the great drivers during the pandemic, and now it is the key impulse to be able to think about the end of the low season for domestic tourism,” Deyá highlighted.
It should be remembered that the program reimburses 50% of tourism expenses in the form of credit so that they can be reinvested in the sector. Through this initiative, citizens can travel to any destination within the country and enjoy various benefits.
When is PreViaje 4 coming?
As announced by the Minister of Tourism, the fourth edition of the program will begin in mid-March, when travel reservations and purchases will be enabled. However, these can be done between May and June of this year.before winter break.
In accordance with what has been established so far, the program will maintain the characteristics of previous editions. In other words, 50% of what was spent will be refunded. However, as a novelty, this year the return limit will be increased, which will go from $70,000 to almost $100,000.
