Lisandro Pérez Losinno, Undersecretary of Tourism Promotion of the Nation.

The third edition of the Pre-Trip program will mobilize one million tourists between October and November, with an economic impact of around $30,000 million, according to official estimates one day before the deadline to upload receipts for purchases made.

Previaje 3 “has managed to attract a million tourists to travel in just two months of low season. This represents approximately 50% of the average tourists who travel regularly between October and November,” said the Nation’s Undersecretary for Tourism Promotion, Lisandro Perez Losino.

Speaking to Télam Radio, the official assured that this “means a total economic impact between the anticipated purchases and the fiscal effort made by the State with the Previaje card credit of around $30,000 million.”

people who want purchase tickets, accommodation and excursions within the framework of Previaje 3 will have time to do so until this Wednesdaywhile the upload of receipts will be enabled until Thursday, reported the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

The official said that due to the magnitude reached “The development of Prevoyage 3 has far exceeded expectations”adding that “not even in the most optimistic estimates could it be believed that it was going to be so successful.”

“With this edition, we decided to attend particularly to an issue very typical of the dynamics of the sector, which was seasonality, many locations in the country that invoice four or five months a year and that this concentration of demand generated some problems such as temporary jobs, precarious, sharp price increases,” he said.

On the other hand, he stressed that in this edition “the distribution of tourists according to destinations is much more homogeneousthen the participation of each province as a destination is much more balanced, which is also an indication that Previaje has managed to drive tourism in emerging destinations”.

“In the first edition -he added-, Previaje was able to provide containment and reactivate a tourism sector in the worst crisis in its history; in its second it contributed to the last season being a record and that in this one it will exceed the specific objective of breaking the issue of seasonality hand in hand with an efficient State that optimizes public investment with a very low fiscal cost”.

“The last winter tourist season consolidated this trend: 5.2 million tourists traveled through Argentina, registering an increase of 10% compared to the winter season prior to the pandemic, and the mobilization of resources amounted to more than $147 billion,” he added. .
