Prevention notice for high tides in the Pacific until November 28

A Prevention Notice (surveillance and monitoring) for maximum tides in the Panamanian Pacific, issued by the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) until November 28.
According to the entity, the maximum tides that will reach a height of about 17.3 feet (5.27 meters) will be recorded from 2:42 a.m., this Wednesday, November 23, 2022, until 7:20 p.m., Monday, November 28. of 2022.
The National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) warns that if heavy rains and maximum tides coincide, flooding could occur, mainly in the country’s coastal areas.

Given this notice, Sinaproc recommended avoiding activities on the Pacific coast, artisanal fishermen must use navigation equipment and personal flotation devices (life jackets).

Also keep an eye on children, grandparents and people with disabilities.
