The formula will be presented this Sunday, the 28th, at the convention, where it is expected that the proposal will be approved, “due to the political, personal and professional characteristics” of the vice-presidential candidate.
Some members of the council are not convinced that Quintana will be a vice presidential candidate; a decision will be made on the 28th.
The council newspaper “La Mañana” points out that “Dr. Quintana is not only known by all council members, but her training and action profile accompanies the positions that the party has had on key issues that make up its main postulates”
With Dr. Quintana there is a “complementary” formula, in addition to the fact that “she is known by the councilors and even led one of the national currents,” said Manini Ríos.
Who is Quintana?
La Mañana reviews the vice-presidential candidate, highlighting that “she is a doctor of medicine specializing in family and community medicine from the University of the Republic (Udelar). She has a postgraduate course in the treatment of toxic and non-toxic addictions completed in Argentina.
She also completed several specializations at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of the Republic (Udelar): Specialist in Drug Policies; Specialist in Gender and Public Policies; and Specialist in Political Sciences.
Within the Ministry of Public Health, he held several positions in different programs: the Directorate of the Adolescent and Youth Health Program; the Directorate of the Addiction Prevention and Management Program; and the Directorate of the Strong Family Program.
