The presidential candidate and former president Martín Torrijos met with producers and ranchers from the Azuero region, during a consultation tour in the province of Herrera.
“The agricultural sector is going through a tough situation, like the rest of the country. It takes a moment to be honest and know where we are in the agricultural sector,” said Torrijos.
The former president highlighted that, “with productive efficiency, technology and financing, we will transform agriculture so that Panamanians have food at low cost.”
“It is the opportunity, without fighting over the past, to understand each other in order to improve the country’s conditions in the future and there are coincidences to improve the institutionalization of the agricultural sector and improve what they need to face production problems,” Torrijos concluded. .
