Showing graphs of China’s economic hegemony over the United States and exposing the urgency of regulating labor migration in North America, to make it stronger and more competitive, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador warned: We do not want a neighbor that is strong in terms of war and weak in economic and commercial terms, because what would happen if this continues? The temptation to maintain military superiority will continue, and that does not suit anyone

In the Treasury room of the National Palace, he reiterated that his government takes care that the human rights of migrants are not violated, because of the risks they run when crossing our country; we do not want them to reach the north, but it is not doing dirty work for the United States government

He considered President Joe Biden’s message regarding arms control and the new approach to immigration policy, with a reform that regularizes countrymen and other undocumented immigrants, adequate, correct and timely. From there he took up his migratory proposal, associated with that of economic change not only in the northern region, but throughout the continent:
In North America we will not be able to grow and consolidate ourselves as a competitive region economically and commercially if we do not have a workforce. It is contradictory that there is an immigration policy that prevents them from working honestly in the United States.
He announced that next week the US ambassador, Ken Salazar, will accompany him to a meeting in Tapachula, Chiapas, with the purpose of seeing how we are advancing in cooperation with Central America so that people have jobs and continue talking about our proposal to grant temporary work visas.
Thus, the president continued in the sphere of the profuse rejection of the financing of the United States to the Mexican association against Corruption and Impunity, of Claudio X. On the contrary, it is to enforce corruption, and they become accomplices by supporting those who want a corrupt regime to remain in Mexico; they are accomplices, because all those who are in that civil association have to do with the created interests. What, they don’t know that there? Doesn’t the State Department know? Doesn’t the CIA know? With what right do they intervene in a matter that corresponds to Mexicans? Why do they position themselves as a kind of world government? And the independence, and the sovereignty of the peoples?
Regarding his proposal for economic integration, he stressed that it covers all of America, which is a very powerful region economically, in natural resources, in labor force, to be able to face other regions in a fair fight in the commercial field and be competitive, he replied.
In relation to refugees and migrants, he said, everyone is supported and protected. In this way, he lashed out at criticizing the differentiated treatment between people who come from Guatemala and Honduras with respect to those who may come from Ukraine or Russia: they are special circumstances, it is a war situation.
